As Jurassic World takes the box office by storm, Universal Pictures has teamed with the team here at SUBPAC to bring fans of the film directly into the forest of the Jurassic World park itself through virtual reality. In the two-and-a-half minute experience produced by Felix & Paul Studios, titled “Jurassic World: Apatosaurus.”
The “Jurassic World: Apatosaurus” experience provides viewers with a completely authentic 360 degree, fully immersive view of the Apatosaurus environment. Surrounded by tall trees, users are met with the heavy breathing and thudding footfalls of the Apatosaurus as it eats and wanders about. With the use of SUBPAC the experience is intensified and brings the physical dimension of sound to the viewer, allowing them to feel the Apatosaurus’ breath and stomping feet. As the Apatosaurus comes face-to-face with the viewer, it’s as close to being next to a dinosaur you have ever experienced.
“Jurassic World: Apatosaurus” was engineered with the SUBPAC in mind as its technology transfers the low frequencies you know and love directly to the user’s body to create a completely engaging and robust transmedia experience.
Samsung Gear VR owners can now download “Jurassic World: Apatosaurus” directly from the Oculus Store. Fans and moviegoers will also be able to interact with the experiential pop-up installation complete with SUBPAC S2’s through June 25 at the following locations:
