Tribeca 2016 – Immersive Storyscapes

The Tribeca Film Festival has always blazed a trail when it comes to covering differing mediums and forms of storytelling. For the second year running the Tribeca Festival Hub is showcasing the best of experiential storytelling via the medium of VR.

We partnered with BBC R&D to provide bass for their ‘The Turning Forest’ experience. Featuring a dynamic binaural soundtrack and physical sound courtesy of SUBPAC, this experience takes users to a ‘magical space of imagination, where rustling leaves of an autumn forest are also the footsteps of something familiar, yet strange.’

Written by Shelly Silas and crafted by renowned VR artist Oscar Raby, the experience was one of the highlights of this years’ festival, and judging from the positive reactions to it online you can expect to see this amazing experience at a festival near you soon!
