In Southern California, there are few names more synonymous with bass than The Do LaB. Famous for producing their own stage at Coachella and their well respected, award winning festival Lightning in a Bottle – or “LiB” as it’s know to it’s attendees – The Do LaB crew has been spreading bass in SoCal for 10+ years.
One of the staples of LiB is the “Woogie” Stage which is THE location for house and techno. Due to the popularity of that stage, this past month The Do LaB spun off another mini-festival, Woogie Weekend. Hosted at Oak Canyon Ranch, the 3-day festival hosted legendary performances from SUBPAC supporters such as Pig&Dan and Desert Hearts boss Mikey Lion. Other major highlights included back-to-back barn burners from Jody Wisternoff performing a DJ set as Way Out West and a set from his Way Out West collaborator Nick Warren.
For our part, we at SUBPAC teamed up with our friends at The Do LaB and Pig&Dan to offer one lucky contest winner a brand new SUBPAC S2, two all access passes to the festival and a meet and greet with Pig&Dan themselves before their set. As two of our earliest supporters, Pig&Dan were also rocking SUBPAC M1 Bluetooth wearable SUBPAC’s while they performed, giving them the ultimate boost to their bass monitoring and mixing. Check out some more photos of Pig&Dan spreading bass at the festival from photographer Daniel Zetterstrom below.
